TOKENS
(HYPOTHESIS)

In order to start thinking about my place of origin, I studied three objects, or otherwise symbols (TOKENS, as it is probably rendered in the language of video games). These symbols consist of, a touristic souvenir of a card game, the English reprint of the 1905 study “Paxos and Antipaxos”, by Ludwig Salvator, and lastly, an old photograph from my childhood. A triptych, which triggers three idiosyncratic questions, respectively;
Could this narration of Paxos as an “earthly paradise” be complemented by another kind of experience?
What is the relationship between modern reality of the place and its’ history?
Do individual experiences overlap with a more collective reading of the place?
