EYESPAN Video
Composition 2020Sixteen cropped eyes tile into a feed-like grid that looks back. What begins as a viewfinder becomes a targeting device: instead of narrowing attention onto one subject, every subject fixes on the viewer. The interface of thumbnails and monitoring windows turns the glance into addressable data, presence sliced, sorted, and returned. The piece stages an attention loop where looking and being looked at collapse, echoing how algorithmic feeds don’t just show us images; they make us the image.
Brady Arts & Community Centre, London (10–12 Feb 2020). Group show within the AARGH!! Youth Exchange, “Eyespan.”
